Near blooming size seedlings of Brassavola nodosa 'Remar' x 'Gladys'. The first of this group bloomed on dwarf plants 5-6 inches tall, with slender but succulent leaves vs the taller, more flat leaves that many other currently available nodosas have. Available here are young plants approaching blooming size as well. You will get one of the plants shown in a 2" pot, or one similar in size. Flower photo shows the first bloom sibling, your plant will be similar.
Brassavola nodosa is easily one of my favorite species. It has wonderfully crystalline white flowers which are fragrant at night. They are also excellent growers, producing lots of roots and multiple new growths per year. An excellent plant for bright, warm windowsills. This species is an excellent choice for growing mounted on cork - they love it.
B. nodosa flowers are dominated by a broad white lip with a pale greenish petals and sepals. And just as the light goes out, they let out a burst of perfume. They can carry 1-3 flowers per spike, blooming as growth matures. They can be grown in pots or baskets, but do very well also on mounts, which seems to encourage better root growth. Plants are compact in stature, but given enough years can spread laterally quite well to form a lovely specimen.
*Blooming plant is not for sale; plants available for sale are near blooming size but not currently in bloom.
