Cattleya lueddemanniana 'Escura 1' x 'Escura 2' - select sib cross - parents have exceptionally wide segments and rich color. I have just a few of this cross.
This species bears large flowers, averaging 7", but despite that, the plants are a very manageable "medium" size as standard Cattleyas go. They'll still end up somewhat large for a small window, but if you have a really sunny bay window, they'll be great for that. Flower color on these should be dark pink to 'orchid purple' with a purple and yellow lip, heavily marked with striations. These should be in the pink to dark pink range. Example photo shows a light color one, the parent was a more saturated shade.
This is an adaptable species, as long as they are in an airy medium. This is a good subject for basket culture. They prefer higher light than some cattleyas, but will still flower in "average" cattleya light.
You will get one of the seedlings shown, which are recently potted up to three inch pots, or one similar in size. As they are seedlings, each one will be unique. These are about 2-3 years from blooming size.
