Cymbidium ensifolium Hong Cao Hong He 紅草紅荷 - this variety has a unique purple-burgundy overlay on its foliage. Young foliage is particularly beautiful, appearing more distinctly red-purple. Flowers are a full, round shape in shades of pink to round out the look. They are also fragrant!
This variety also has particularly aggressive roots, which is always a plus.
Cym. ensifolium is my favorite species of the mini cymbidium group. In theory they will take a cooler winter, but I can confirm they don't seem to need it. Intermediate (65-70F), which is the typical temperature in the average winter windowsill, is sufficient to keep them happy. The species can be bloomed in medium to bright light, even under artificial light.
These are blooming size divisions with 3-4 growths each, recently potted. We have one plant in a 6" pot to offer, it had a lot more root mass requiring more space, but the plants overall are similar in size.
