Bc Walter August 'Pink Lip' x Hilda Takamasu
I'm experimenting with using Walter August to make crosses that I hope will be improved versions of the typical nodosa fare, meaning with more color potential, but with similar vigor and ease of blooming. This particular Walter August has a flower shaped like nodosa, but much larger and more flat, as well as a distinct pink lip. Here, it has been crossed with a Hilda Takamasu - a fast growing, medium sized plant with flashy potential. Expect pink flowers, hopefully with interesting markings, on a medium sized cattleya.
We have flasks of these available containing approximately 20-25 seedlings each, grown right here in our own lab. The plants are ready to deflask. You will get the flask shown or one similar in size. Flower photos show the parents of this cross.
