Cattleya (formerly Laelia) purpurata v. schusteriana. This variety of purpurata produces elegant pale purple to white flowers with a brilliant jewel-tone lip in shades of purple to magenta, often with a bluish cast in the right light. Like all puruprata, plants get very tall, but can have exceptionally compact internodal spacing, and can have high flower count on mature plants.
I have just one available right now: A near blooming size plant in a 5 inch pot with two growth points. Its possible it could bloom the first time in the next year, but I'm calling it "near" in case it decides to take another year.
As with most large cattleya, plan to give this a very sunny windowsill (bright West or South facing window preferred).
You will get the plant in the black pot shown. Flower photo is for reference only.
