Platycerium willinckii 'Bacteria' this is a highly desirable miniature / dwarf variety perfect for those with limited space. Photos of mature specimens are all over social media. Mature fertile fronds have a stiff, almost succulent look to them, with long, slender fingers, stacked elegantly on the plant. Fertile fronds seem to max out at about 8 inches in length under some conditions, but are typically smaller with an overall plant diameter of around 12 inches.
This plant has been mounted for about 6 months in a sphagnum mound on a cedar plank. Plant is showing fresh spring growth. Plastic is used to help keep it moist while establishing, you can remove that at your discretion as new shield fronds grow in. You will get the plant shown.
