Brassocattleya Yellow Bird (formerly Brassiolaelia). This hybrid is a fantastic grower, happily developing multiple growth points leading to frequent flowering when mature. The Brassavola heritage gives them this, as well as an overall showy nature and usually a night-time fragrance. They can be clear yellow like the example plant shown, or yellow with red spots. Note the number of flowers on the example plant - that is what you can look forward to in mature plants!
This is a compact hybrid, making it a great choice for a very sunny windowsill. This type of cattleya can be grown potted, but they also enjoy being mounted. Grow in high light (Bright West or South facing window preferred).
You will get one of the plants shown, or one similar in size. Currently available plants are in your choice of 3.5" to 4" pots, or large, multi-growth plants in 6" pots. All plants are blooming size, though the plants are not currently in bloom. Flowering plants shown are for reference only. But, if I happen to have one in bud when you order, I'll ship that one of course!
