Euphorbia ritchiei, formerly a Monadenium.  The little succulent body of this species can be winter deciduous, shedding its broad, fleshy leaves during the dry winter season, then growing new foliage in the spring.  They are able to photosynthesize through that trunk though, so make sure to keep it in bright light year round.

You will get one of the divisions shown, established in a 2" pot.
