Paphiopedilum gratrixianum var daoense - rare variety of a not commonly seen species.  Expect a dorsal with large spots over a white or pink background, with sunset-shade pouch and petals.  This variety tends to run a bit more compact in stature, with a more relaxed posture than other gatrixianum examples.

NOTE: flower photo shows Paph gratrixianum, for general reference only.

These are recently imported seed-grown plants that are rallying nicely.  Plants are potted in 3" pots.  Flower photo for reference only (Paph gratrixianum), plants are not in bloom.

Per Slipperorchids.info, the species is found on "acidic, calcium-free, humic, silicate soils with a high moisture content."  These are potted in a media amended with sphagnum and kanuma.
