Phalaenopsis Penang Girl (venosa 'CH' x violacea indigo) - this batch of seedlings was remade out of two saturated color plants - P. venosa 'CH', which is a solid dark brick color, and an indigo version of violacea. Seedlings out of the batch have bloomed most commonly with crimson red, magenta-red, and occasionally impressive iron oxide shades. Photos show a couple examples. These are typically fragrant.
These types of phals can make a good display mounted or in baskets, hung so that the leaves can grow out broad and somewhat down, as is their habit. But as you can see, these are equally happy in pots! Keep warm, and water generously. Don't forget to leave old spikes on these - don't cut them as long as they're green.
Plants are blooming size, but may not be in bloom upon arrival. Flower photos are for example only.
