Platycerium elephantotis - This is an easy to grow species, an excellent choice for those looking to branch out into more unusual ferns! This is the so-called elephant ear fern, producing large, dramatic shield fronds, and long, broad, ear-like fertile fronds. These can grow quickly in warm, humid conditions, and produce pups easily.
These happy little babies are about ready to grow at light speed, I think. They have rooted and established well, and and new fronds are starting to appear.
