Purple Pips?  For your enjoyment: the luscious, rich colors of a blooming garlic scape, with tiny pink buds and purple bulbils.

This painting is an interesting play of rich, saturated red-purple shades, subtle creams and pinks, and warm, indistinct greens.  I find there is something magical about odd little plant structures like this.  Each bulbil can be planted to grow new garlic!  Some folks might eat them too I suppose.  Anyway, this is a picture of summer in the garden, bursting with life that will add energy and interest to your kitchen or sunroom.

This painting was featured in the Kern River Valley Art Association July 2021 Armchair Art Show.
