Renanthera bella has rather succulent foliage, thick, pebbly roots, and orange flowers with brilliant magenta-red spots. Flowers are very long lasting, and mature plants can be in bloom 2-3 months. Growths tend to be not very wide, but they have that vining characteristic common in the vanda family, so continually get taller, and can also branch.
These can be kept in open baskets, with or without a very coarse media, or grown mounted. Use of slender fence slats, as is a common offering for some aroids to climb, might be an interesting experiment. Grow warm and in very bright light for best results.
You will get one of the plants shown, or one similar in size. These are probably about 2 years from first bloom.
