Tolumnia (Hispaniella) henekenii is a fascinating dwarf species with a thick, furry lip that mimics the look of a bee. Plants are miniature. We have available here seed-grown plants that might just be old enough to bloom the first time next year.
This species has a strong preference for mounted culture, so all of the seedlings on offer are recently mounted on cork. Keep them in bright light, and mist them frequently.
A brief article on equitant culture can be found here: https://www.aos.org/orchids/additional-resources/tolumnia-basics.aspx if you are keeping this in the house, plan to spray down the roots every morning in the warm months, but you can skip some days when it is cooler. Overall they want warm temperatures and bright light. Keep them with warm growing cattleyas.
