Brassavola nodosa tipo strain on horizontal cork mount.
This is a large plant mounted on cork, but not very well attached to cork yet. Probably not a fan of the moss. But this means you could pull it off, divide it if you like, and drop the parts into small baskets - they'd probably like that better. Some nodosa clones have a profound distaste for moss or anything resembling damp around their roots.
B. nodosa flowers are dominated by a broad white lip with a pale greenish petals and sepals. And just as the light goes out, they let out a burst of perfume. They can carry 1-3 flowers per spike, blooming as growth matures. They can be grown in pots or baskets, but do very well also on mounts, which seems to encourage better root growth. Plants are compact in stature, but given enough years can spread laterally quite well to form a lovely specimen.
Blooming plant is shown for example only, but you can expect similar results. You will get the plant shown on the cork mount.
