Not my most creative names ever, eh? Well 'monk' really refers here to term sometimes applied to compact clivia strains with extra broad leaves, which the pod parent here had. The pollen was donated by an equally compact, though with less individual leaf width, plant with a full head of stellar yellow flowers. Yellow is typically recessive, but this particular one has some complex genetics, so I'm curious to see if we'll get some interesting color forms none the less. Either way, looking for compact plants with big juicy flowers.

These plants are in 3.5" square pots, using a very aerated mix of coir with 30-40% perlite, for best root health. They are a couple years to blooming size. You will get one of the plants shown, or one similar in size. Flower photos are for reference only and show the parents. As these are seedlings, each young plant will be unique.
