Dendrobium cretaceum bears sparkling pale pink to white flowers with pink patterns on the lip on bare canes.  The species is sometimes considered an albescens form of primulinum, sometimes its own species.  Either way, care and overall plant form is similar to primulinum.  As such, you can expect mature plants to trend toward a semi-pendant to pendant habit, canes growing up then draping down.  And as most dendrobiums in this group they are fully deciduous.  Flowers are borne on bare canes prior to or about the same time as new growth starts.  The species is relatively compact compared to some species in the group, so reasonable for windowsills.

Grow these in high light, as for cattleya, and let them have a drier rest when dormant to ensure flowering.

You will get one of the plants shown, or one similar in size. They are blooming size plants in 2.5 inch pots. Flower photos are for example only. You can expect similar results.

These plants were imported dormant and bare root earlier this year (meaning they are recently potted), and at time of writing, are currently starting to set buds.  We'll send you one in bud if we have one when you order!  Mist the base of the plant and surface of the media a few times per week until you start seeing new growth and new roots, then start to increase watering.

FLAT RATE SHIPPING - one price for as many plants as you want!  (lower 48 states only)
All plants are wrapped carefully for shipping. Plant may be shipped bare root at my discretion.  Safe arrival of buds and flowers not guaranteed.
Sorry, we are not currently shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
