*Special: Extra Large tuber of Sinningia bullata* This plant has merrily grown to a large size with a nice big tuber. I expect there is a caudex collector somewhere out there that has been looking for something new and odd for their collection. Is that you? :)
You will get the exact plant shown in the green pot. This is a large tuber that would really prefer to move up to a larger pot I think. Plant is blooming size, just coming out of dormancy with multiple growth points. Plant is in a 5 inch pot. Last two photos are for reference, showing flowers and cascading foliage you can expect later in the season.
General info about this species: Sinningia bullata is a fascinating species with extra long, luxurious fuzz on the underside of mature leaves and on all the flower stems. The top side of the leaf is shiny bright green with dense bubbly texture. Flowers are a brilliant orange-red.
Older stems can trail a bit, as you can see on the plant shown here. If you get tired of that you can trim it and force new growth. Make sure they are in bright light for best blooming and leaf size. You might also choose to house it in a cascade pot, or a hanging basket.
I grow the species pretty much like all the other Sinningias, though I don't always force this species to total dormancy in the winter.
