Oncidium calochilum (Tolumnia calochila) is a miniature species with terete foliage that looks a bit like glossy pine needles. Flowers are bright yellow and have an interesting form, including a heart-shaped lip with a slightly fimbriate/serrated edge. Flowers are usually also fragrant. This species is fairly rare in cultivation.
We grow these medium bright and warm with frequent watering and good air movement. Potting is not recommended, I don't think they would like it. Native habitat is dry scrub twig epiphyte.
You will get one of the seedlings shown, or one similar in size, mounted on cork.
