Sinningia piresiana have a soft, quilted look to their foliage, with a halo of fine hairs. Flowers are pink with spots on the outside and inside.  This species takes a little longer than some to get to blooming size, most of these should be just about big enough to bloom next spring. But meanwhile, they have pretty, fuzzy foliage to enjoy!  All my sinningias are seed grown by me in the USA, and are delivered with established tubers.

I recommend growing conditions similar to Sinningia leuchotricha. It typically has an active summer growing season, loving frequent watering but not waterlogged conditions. Use a high porosity soil mix. Pick a bright spot with at least a few hours direct sun.  Reduce watering in winter to provide a rest period. They may shed their foliage during dormancy.

Plants for sale are like the examples, in your choice of 4" pots (approx 2" tubers), 3" clear pots (approx 1" tubers). Plants are not currently in bloom.

FLAT RATE SHIPPING - just one price for as many plants as you want! Mix and match!
Note about shipping: All plants are wrapped carefully and shipped via USPS priority mail. Make sure to unwrap carefully, it can be easy to accidentally damage plants when unwrapping while very excited! Plant may be shipped bare root at my discretion. Hawaii & Alaska shipments at your own risk.
